Workshops

Workshops at Under the Oaks are an integral part of the festival experience, designed to ground festivalgoers in place and build community throughout the weekend. The workshop runs from 8 AM to 2 PM, and all workshops are free with the purchase of a General Admission or VIP festival pass!

Breakfast Under the Oaks

Time: 8 AM - 10 AM

Location: VIP Stage

Start the Under the Oaks morning off the right way and join the Greater Franklin Food Council for Breakfast Under the Oaks! This farm-to-table pancake breakfast will feature locally sourced ingredients such as Maine maple syrup, wild Maine blueberries, bacon from Franklin County farms, and Maine-grown grains. Tickets are $15 and include a full pancake breakfast with sides and beverages (vegetarian and gluten-free options available). All proceeds will go to the Greater Franklin Food Council.

Morning Yoga

Repair Cafe

Time: 10 AM - 1 PM (Drop-in Anytime)

Drop in to the Repair Cafe! The wonderful folks at The Center for an Ecology-based Economy will have tools to mend and repair your damaged things! They will provide guidance for sewing (patching, darning, buttons), ceramics repair, simple jewelry fixes (non-soldering), leather shoe maintenance, and more!

Birding Along the Sandy River

Time: 1 PM - 2 PM

Location: Campground (Walking)

Join Mike Good of Down East Nature Tours and explore all the birds along the Sandy River! Michael J. Good, MS, has been offering personalized birdwatching and nature tours since 1993, for individuals, couples, families, and small groups. He’s also been attending Under the Oaks every year since 2023! This workshop will include walking, so please be prepared. Participants are asked to bring binoculars (if they have them), good walking shoes, and a GoldenOak perspective of the world.
